Anmore Beginnings

By Hal and Linda Weinberg
5 minutes 2 seconds

Memories of a couple's trajectory toward semi-rural living and the eventual community efforts to incorporate Anmore BC, in order to keep it that way.

As mayor, Hal was also instrumental in setting up a municipal bylaw that specifically allows affordable housing and protection for renters  (in the mobile home park) so they wouldn't get kicked out of their houses!

  1. I first met Hal Weinberg when we were both at SFU and was most surprised to learn he was a Mayor in Metro Vancouver! However, as a consultant to Imperial Oil I always appreciated his perspective on planning and development issues in Anmore and look forward to hearing his stories for decades to come!
